This evening, I was emailed by the guys monitoring the server the HPSF site is on saying that this website was being used to send spam by bots. It seems that the "Tell a friend" module was open to the net for anyone to see.

So to stop this from getting worse, we had to shut it down asap. Then I could spend the time getting into the site and making the changes needed to stop the spam.

The 'Tell a friend' module is now set to be seen by registered people only.

Hey that's good news actually, 'cuz for a bit there I thought that maybe HPSF had finally gone the way of the dodo. Thanks for the quick response and notification. Nobody talks all that much anymore in these forums, but I'm for keeping the lights on anyway.

I'd miss Coverly's amusing anecdotes too, btw.

Maybe you can help the bfjamz site smitty.. I gave up on it a long time ago after it became infected by these lol
